Girl Guides National Volunteer Week → Freelance Motion Graphic Designer
April 23 to 29 is National Volunteer Week, and to celebrate, Girl Guides of Canada (GGC) hired me to create a motion graphic video in 2022. GGC offers various volunteer opportunities including unit leaders who guide girls through programs on science, technology, engineering and math (STEM), financial literacy, and self-esteem. On an organizational level, volunteers also help with advising on programming and business decisions, administrating provincial councils, and even representing the World Association of Girl Guides and Girl Scouts at global events such as the United Nations Commission on the Status of Women.
My goal as the designer and animator for this project was to visually convey the organization’s appreciation for the Canadian volunteers that take time out of their day to support girls and women in their communities.
