Girl Guides E-Cookies Campaign → Freelance Motion Graphic Designer

For the first time ever, Girl Guide cookies were available online for purchase in Canada due to the COVID-19 pandemic. I had the opportunity to work with the Girl Guides of Canada (GGC) Marketing and Communications team to create a motion graphic video to support their e-cookie campaign.

In just two weeks, I worked closely with the team to turn their ideas and prompts into a fully fleshed-out animated experience. With consideration of their marketing goals and existing design system, Willow Mackenzie, Girl Guide’s design lead, and I worked to repurpose design assets. I spent the remaining four days animating the assets using Adobe After Effects, Premiere Pro, and Media Encoder to support the campaign’s storytelling.

Following 18 months of challenging COVID conditions impacting Girl Guides of Canada fundraising, the marketing campaign and adapted online selling alternative helped raise funds to support the guides. "When supporters buy Girl Guide cookies, they are also helping girls build skills that will help them soar, like planning and setting goals, gaining confidence, financial literacy and entrepreneurial skills, solving problems and making decisions, connecting with community members, and having fun while working together." — Girl Guides B.C. Commissioner, Diamond Isinger
