Girl Guides of Canada Internship → Graphic Designer
During the summer of 2020, I worked as a graphic design intern on Girl Guides of Canada's national marketing and communications team. Throughout the internship, I collaborated on joint problems and projects to lend my perspective and skills to deliver and improve the team’s day-to-day work, enabling “a better world, by girls”.

My first project involved revamping the Member Zone website, an internal resource website created exclusively for Girl Guide volunteers. After conducting a heuristic inspection, my main goal was to improve how the organizational information, policies, and program resources were visually communicated to boost visibility and transparency. This involved focusing on the site's information architecture and restructuring it so that it was easier to understand. Later on, I helped design the user interface of the Cookies, Community, Care website, which allowed the public to purchase cookies online and donate money for a cause of their choice.

For the rest of my internship, I focused on balancing priorities from 11+ internal clients and departments. This involved developing concepts for several member experience projects by incorporating client feedback, iterating on designs, securing approval, and executing the concept to final proofs for print or online implementation.
